Hi. For the first time in my life I am putting myself out there and being honest and truly vulnerable. I’ve been a writer all my life, having written poetry since I was in grade school. So baring my soul in the written form doesn’t scare me.
Coming out of the broom closet doesn’t scare me either. Any one of my high school friends could tell you about me doing Tarot readings for other kids and sometimes just “knowing” things. Everyone knew I was “weird” and I was OK with that.
I’m still weird as an adult, but I don’t need to dress the part these days. I’m basically a sweatpants kinda gal, who just happens to be able to see the future and commune with spirits.
It turns out that “knowing” is called claircognizance. It will manifest during readings when I just say something that seems totally random, or when I am by myself and just have a very strong gut feeling about something. I also have clairvoyance, which means clear sight. I can see images in my mind’s eye which will appear either on the wall or floor. They can be symbols, scenes or just pictures that I have to figure out.
I believe that everyone is blessed with gifts, but over centuries we became more focused on paying bills instead of paying attention to our intuition.
The Universe has been trying to tell me this is my path for many years, I just wasn’t listening. I had some blocks to overcome to get me to this point. Don’t we all? But life is now and I am ready to share this gift with open-minded and kind people who believe.
The world needs my gifts. I have to remind myself of this when my resistance rears its ugly head. I am here to be of service. I hope that by putting myself out there and sharing my abilities with others that I am a small cog in this grand machine, quietly setting off beautiful ripple effects.
