What Can you Expect from a Reading with Me?

In this line of work I am connected to people from all types of backgrounds and beliefs. Whenever someone chooses to get a reading from me I do my best to tell them upfront just how my gift works and what they can and shouldn’t expect to happen.  Quite often I will get the type of client who only wants to know the answer to a specific question:

• Should I take this new job offer?
• Which state should I move to?
• Should I break up with my boyfriend/girlfriend?

Notice a theme there? People come to readings and should all over it.

I may be clairvoyant – but I am not omniscient. There are just some things that Spirit is not going to pass on to me. It’s not because they  don’t want to help you, it’s because it is not up to them to impose upon your free will. 

So please remember I am only the messenger. I can only tell you what I see. Just try to sit back and acknowledge the connections Spirit is trying to make for you.

Now, I am also a medium so I can connect with those who have crossed over. However, I see these messages just as I do the others – as symbols on my wall. I can’t see or speak to the dead.

So – just what can you expect to get out of a reading with me?

• A ton of affirmations. In the psychic world the term affirmation refers to a “hit” – something we mention that you can verify as true. For me, these usually come across as mundane things. I may end up  talking to you about the dinner you made last night, the cruise you are planning to take, or the song your kid puts on repeat every day. While some may wonder why would they come to a psychic just to hear that they watched 12 hours of Doctor Who, the point is that I wouldn’t know that if Spirit didn’t tell me – and they want you to know they are with you, always. Showing me these validations are their way of proving their existence and involvement in your daily life, even though you can’t see them.
• Possible communications from loved ones on the other side. It is not uncommon for me to come up with the exact name of one of your departed loved ones. Once I know that I am speaking about the right person, they may show me one or two symbols to resurrect a fond memory they had with you. Sometimes they show me their commentary on something going on in your life; yes, Grandma still has an opinion on the other side! Are you watching your health? Have you let go of anger? These are some of the messages they may want me to pass on. Just know, that even though I always get all my messages from Spirit, they won’t always tell me who they are. So if you have your heart set on hearing from a parent, or any specific loved one, please know that is something I can’t guarantee.
• A little bit of fortune-telling. One of my psychic abilities is the gift of precognition. This means I am able to see things before they happen. So if I am talking about the new dress you are going to buy for an upcoming event and you don’t know what I am talking about – just wait a few days. One of my repeat clients kept telling me she had nothing coming up and I laughed and said, “Just send me a pic of your new dress when you get it.” She called me two days later to say her job was sending her to a fancy party in Manhattan and she needed to go shopping!
• Emotions. Almost every reading I have given in the last few years either has a bout of laughter or tears, sometimes both. I always want this to be a wonderful experience, but connecting with loved ones can bring on the water works – don’t worry, I always have tissues handy and I will most likely end up crying with you. It’s always good tears though, they don’t want you sad. (I’m a hugger too, so if you’re open to it, I’ve got hugs for ya.) Also, Spirit has a huge sense of humor so be prepared for them to bring up that one embarrassing incident or the corny nickname you gave your hubby.

At the end of the session, I hope you walk away with a sense of peace. I hope that our time together helps you feel comfortable that our loved ones truly are with us. While sometimes this is emotional as I mentioned above, I also strive to make it fun too. I always want my clients to leave feeling fulfilled.
